The story

Bonnie Springs Ranch nestled under the Red Rock cliffs west of Las Vegas from 1958 — Bonnie Levinson's Old West attraction grown from a historic watering stop on the Spanish Trail, with its replica frontier town, saloon, petting zoo, wax museum and cheerfully macabre staged hangings entertaining generations of Nevadans until the land sold and the bulldozers came in 2019, a loss the valley still mourns. Its ghost telling was real while it stood: staff and visitors described the wax museum's figures seeming to move, a woman in the opera house, children's voices in the schoolhouse replica, cold spots in the saloon and shapes along the boardwalk at closing — lore featured on paranormal programmes and fondly traded, with threads reaching to the site's genuine Old Spanish Trail history. The ranch is gone: the site redeveloped, no access to what remains, and this record stands past-tense — which the entry states plainly. Present Bonnie Springs as remembered Nevada folklore: an attraction whose ghosts, like itself, live on only in the telling.
