The story
Milwaukee's Grand Hotel was built in 1893 by Guido Pfister and has hosted virtually every US president since William McKinley. Guido Pfister's portrait hangs in the lobby, and the hotel's longtime staff insist his spirit never left — multiple MLB players staying here during road games have described seeing an old man in Victorian clothing watching from their doorways. The hotel acknowledges the claims and has appointed an artist-in-residence program partly inspired by the building's atmosphere.
