The story

Castle Hot Springs has been welcoming guests since 1896, making it Arizona's oldest resort. It has hosted presidents, WWII pilots who trained at the property, and countless celebrities. After a devastating fire in 1976, the property lay abandoned for over 40 years before being meticulously restored and reopening in 2019. During the abandonment years, and even now, visitors and staff report encounters with former guests — particularly a woman in 1940s attire seen near the main spring, and a soldier in military uniform at the edge of the pool.
